Our current political system is broken.  The two major parties seem to be more concerned about their ideologies and party purity than they are about doing the will of the people.  The legislature only seems to take the action that the majority of the people in the state want them to take when they are forced to by a citizen sponsored ballot initiative.  That’s definitely not representation by the people and for the people.

That’s why I’m running as a candidate for the United Utah Party. This new party is more concerned about practical problem solving than it is about partisan politics.  I support both the party platform and the key reforms that the United Utah Party proposes, because they will help our state government get back to the business of the people rather than perpetuate the business of keeping their party in power.

Please check out the other issues I’m particularly concerned about to see more specific examples of how our current system is broken and what can be done to make it better.
